Where have I been????

Ok, ok, so I have been a slacker the past few weeks in updating my blog... well here you go. June has been nuts for us, and it will continue to be so. I have posted what we have been up to so far, and on Wednesday the madness continues when Bryce and I go to Texas to see my best friend in the whole wide world! I am just a little excited. Its nice to get away, but mostly I love having my hubby all to myself! :) So, I'll try to stop being a slacker, but I make no official promises.

Father's Day 2008

Father's Day! It was a pretty low key day for us. However, those days are looked forward to in our house. Very rarely are we all home, and spending time together. He got some nice cards, and new hat, and an IOU, from me. He could not think of anything he wanted for Father's Day, so I guess I will wait until he thinks of something... He is the hardest person to shop for! I nicely reminded him that next Father's Day he will be a Father of 4! That is a weird thought... And since its Father's Day, I guess that this would be a good time to tell those of you who do not know, that we are naming the baby Brylee. After her dad.
By the way... want to know what Bryce looked like 37 years ago... look at Parker... their toddler pictures are identical!

Smith Family Reunion

For a weekend each summer, we go camping with the Smith's. This year, due to hectic schedules, that weekend fell to be the first weekend in June. It was a little chilly, but we had a good time. A few years ago, we decided to ditch the tent idea, and began going in a trailer. It is so much nicer... we had heat! And a toilet! That was a must for me! :)
Parker chilling with his cousins, Malina and Jessica.

Game Time! Kaylie and Landon playing Apples to Apples with their cousins, Lochlan, Ty, and Tatum. Apples to Apples has become a must every year!

Bryce doing his thing... cooking. This time he had some help form my sister-in-law, Jill.

Finally it warmed up enough to at least make it to Crystal Hot Springs. Keep in mind the water temp is 90 something. It was a nice big bath tub. Here are the kids hanging out.

Memorial Day at the Cabin

For Memorial Day, our family, along with the rest of the Saunders, went to my Grandpa's cabin in Idaho. It was Memorial Day, but my grandpa was also celebrating his 75th birthday. He wanted nothing more then to have all his family together. So here we are... Parker and Landon playing ball. Parker loves to spend time here, and of course, be outside.

Most of you know I come from a large extended family... here are a few of us, playing a game.

My Mom's parents. Darrell and Arlene Saunders. I can't express what these two people mean to me. They are two of my heros. After almost 54 years of marriage, they still hold hands! More then that, the impact they have had on my life and that of my entire family, will forever be endless. Together they began a legacy. It now consists of 7 children, 7 children-in-law, 37 grandchildren, of which 7 are now married leading to 7 grandchildren-in -law, and finally 11 great-grand children, with one on the way. ( that would be mine. :)

A Trip to the Zoo

Our first trip to the zoo this year... We had quite the group too. It was Bryce, Parker and I. My sister, Shari and her daughter, Aubrey. My sister, Jenni, and Grandma Janna, and Grandpa Mike. As well as a family friend of ours, Alyssa, and her son, Wyatt. I know most of you know my parents are divorced, and have been over 10 years... but yes, they still do things together. I know it seems a little weird, but most days it works. It is also nice, because this way Parker and Aubrey get to enjoy both of their Grandparents.

I love this picture of my niece Aubrey and her Grandpa... he only ever smiles when the grandkids are around...
Aubrey pointing to something... the kids loved, I mean loved the zoo!

Despite what he thinks... Bryce is still not as big as the Ape!

Parker and me in front of the Penguins. They are his favorite!

He was like this at every exhibit. I think this is a reptile of some sort. I was not actually with him at this point. The smell in the reptile house was a little to much for pregnant me.

Best Friends! The playground was a hit!

This Week's "Parker Moments."

Life with my sweet Parker is never dull. For most, he gives a sweet smile, and they are won over. Especially the "Grandmas." However, here he has a naughty side... a very naughty side! :) Here are some moments from this past week...

Parker climbed out of the bath tub, ran to his room, and rode his pony... completely nude, might I add.

Dad is to blame for this one... he lifted Parker up to get a toy... and Parker decided to climb right on in. All night it was his favorite place to play... not such a bad idea until you see the next pic...

Thats right... he was only 9 feet off the ground. But, it didn't bother him any... he was having a great old time! In fact, when Bryce managed to pull him out, be bawled and wanted back in.

I've been dreading this... Parker not only opens the pantry door... but climbs on things to reach what he wants. Of course, being the Mom, I thought I had out smarted him by placing all his treats higher... oh no, he just climbs on the shelves too.

So, if any of you feel like another child, this one is selling cheap this week! I love him to pieces, but he will, and is doing a fine job, of driving me mad... :)

After all that... she made it to Prom!

So, after the accident, one would think that Kaylie would want to come home, put her feet up, and take it easy... well, for those of you who know her... NOT A CHANCE! An hour after getting home from the hospital, she was in the shower, getting ready for her first Prom! Now, in her date's defense, he offered to come over, get take out, and watch movies... So Kaylie could rest. But, she had planning for this night... we had finally found the right dress, even one that was not 600 dollars! The right shoes, her nails were done... etc. No one could know the drama our household experienced over this event... ( I am NOT looking forward to her Wedding.) Bryce and I let her make the decision, and she went to Prom. Of course the Percocets helped her get through the night. :) However, for someone who walked into the house dirty, torn up, and scrapped, she turned out pretty nice. Ok, she looked Beautiful!

Luckily, most of the scraps are on the side of her face. The majority of the cuts are hidden by the dress. I promise.... 8 hours prior to this picture she was fighting with a 4-wheeler, who happened to win that fight.
All a long she wanted a lime green dress... but taking after her dear, sweet, "other" mom, she chose Red. Good Girl! Oh, Her finger is broken. Hence the white tape...

Kaylie and her date, Levi. They are "just friends." However Bryce and I were so impressed with how he treated her that day. He brought flowers by the house, kept re-assuring her she did not have to go to Prom... In the end, they left and almost on time, and she made it home ten minutes to 2am, which was curfew. Despite being sore, she was glad she went. We keep telling her, Kaylie it may have not been the first dream date you had imagined, but at least you will never forget it!
